Founded in 1996 by the enigmatic Paul Maitland-Smith, an industry legend who has
pioneered high end furniture production throughout Asia for the past 25 years, Theodore
Alexander is now one of the largest furniture manufacturers in South East Asia.

Theodore Alexander believes in protecting the environment and has developed internal
procedures to minimize waste and pollution from it's manufacturing facilities. The
company does not use any toxic chemicals as listed in the WHO type I & II in
its facilities or associated businesses.
Theodore Alexander is dedicated to support and promote good forestry practices through
our purchasing of raw material. We are dedicated to maintain a chain or custody
program in line with the FSC, Global Forest and Trade Network and GFS Wood Tracking
Program requirements.
The company is committed to continually increase the proportion of materials from
sources that demonstrate legality or are in the process of being certified or are
already certified under FSC. We will not knowingly purchase products or raw materials
from illegal sources or from forest areas that could be considered controversial
to our clients. Our company ensures this by following an independently audited program
for tracking all forest products and through meeting our commitments within an Action
Plan for responsible purchasing.

Theodore Alexander shall strive to ensure the highest quality and service to our
clients through excellence in craftsmanship and internal inspection and management
systems to maintain consistent standards in all our products. The company shall
endeavour to protect the finished goods from damage through shipping and handling
through quality packing. The company also considers on time delivery as a high priority
and part of its commitment to quality.
Commitment to Social Responsibility
Theodore Alexander follows all legal requirements for its staff and applies these
requirements to its subcontractors. The company payments of salary and benefits
to staff are in line with all legal requirements and within local market rates.
The company follows best practices in its procedures for health and safety in the
factory to provide a safe, clean working environment. Theodore Alexander will not
knowingly purchase material from any supplier that cannot demonstrate legality in
its operations with regards to social regulations and international labour organizations
such as ILO.
